I live 1.5 miles from NE Green Lake.  Parking can be a problem on a nice weekend, give yourself extra time.  This Sunday looks like normal (wet) weather, so it might not be too bad.  The SW corner near the rowing stands (a.k.a. Aqua Theater, not to be confused with the Bathhouse Theater) has some additional parking, and you might try parking in lower Woodland Park.  The map might help:

http://maps.google.com/  search "seattle green lake"

Don't let wet weather deter you -- it actually makes for a better weekend day at Green Lake -- on a sunny weekend, it gets quite crowded.

NOTE:  The Green Lake Bike Path is actually a ROAD.  Stay on the INSIDE lane.  The outside lane is for fast movers:  bikes, skaters.  There are lots of runners.  Keep your corgi on a short leash, and keep looking behind, be aware of fast movers.  All of the accidents at Green Lake I've seen were caused by "Sunday drivers" blocking the fast lane.  Keep your corgi in the inside lane, and no problemo.

While running, I have twice been tripped by an unseen dog leash at twilight.  Once, it was a full somersault, luckily nobody hurt.

Or you can follow the barking corgis.  Last year we had about 30 corgis attend.  This year it looks like we are going to double that.  Wonder what the Seattle Noise Laws are.  Good thing  we are starting a little later on a Sunday morning.

Kathy, where are the rowing stands??  I'm not that familiar with green lake... I hope that there are enough corgis barking that I won't have trouble finding the stands.
