My corgi is crate trained but I'm wondering where does your corgi sleep? I keep thinking in the cooler weather he'd much rather sleep in his comfy bed instead of the crate..

Banzai will either sleep in his crate, or in the middle of the living room floor. He is off to the side and out of the way so we don't mind him sleeping out there. When it is bed time for all he goes in his crate.

Sometimes if Banzai is super tired, but we are still up he will follow us to any room we go in and 'flop out' behind us. He is getting very used to doing that. He doesn't like being alone when he sleeps and we almost feel sorry for him.

Duncan sleeps under the bed, on my husband's side when he is home (husband is a night worker, day sleeper). At nights when my husband is at work, he starts out under the bed, but somewhere in the night, he'll be out from under it sleeping either on that side of the bed, or by the front door. I don't know if he is waiting for my husband, trying to get cool, or protecting me. Sometimes I find him on the dog bed or the thermal dog blanket. That are in the bedroom.
Chloe sleeps either on the dog bed or the thermal dog blanket, although she usually starts out at the bedroom doorway, like a little sentinel. Neither of my dogs sleep in bed with us......did that once with two dogs, won't do that again. They hogged the bed and would sleep right up against me, leaving me a little space on the bed.

Ein goes back and forth between the bed (our bed) and the cool kitchen tile floor. He has his own people pillow right next to me that he sleeps on. I had to give him his own pillow because otherwise he tries to steal mine. Tucker sleeps in our bed. No ifs ands or buts. No matter how many times you ask him to move over to give you more room, or accidently kick him. He will not sleep anywhere but our bed. Colleen goes back and forth between our bed, her dog bed (on the floor at the foot of our bed) and the bed in the guest room.

We don't use a crate during the day. The boys are good enough to have free roam, but Colleen can get destructive with her seperation anxiety. When I was working, we were both gone for 11 hours, so I hated having them in a crate all that time. Anytime we leave the house, we baby gate off the guest bedroom and leave them in there.

When we are away from home she has to sleep in the crate so we are working on her spending time in it at home too. Both dogs know that 8 is bed time in our house and Levi heads right for his crate and goes to bed, KC jumps up on the bed and lays up on our pillows until we get into bed then she snuggles and wiggles around for her mom and dad time. After that she usually either moves to the end of the bed or jumps on the floor. She is NOT impressed on the occasions she does have to sleep in the crate because she does not think she should have to be like the other dog.

Camber won't go in a crate since we rescued her; can't blame her. Her "crate" is under the dining table or office desk.

She sleeps in the corner or our bed room next to the bed. She likes having two corners surrounding her. Just close enough so I can pet her with effort.

We crate trained both Soffie & Griffyn. But when they eached turned 1 year old (Soffie was 1st) we left the doors to the crates open and let them decide where they wanted to be. Soffie figured out immediately that the door was not locked and she joined me in bed and that is where she has slept ever since. She waits about 15 minutes or so after I have turned in (which is usually after midnight) then she hops up and lays right up against my legs resting her head on my feet. We stay like that for about 10 minutes or so then I have to switch ( I'm a side to side sleeper all night long) and so begins the jockeying for the best bed position. Most of the time we're very compatible but once in a while I find myself curled up in a ball at the top of the bed and Soffie has managed to stretch her little body over the rest of the bed!

It took Griffyn a little longer to figure out his crate door was not locked. And once he realized that, he opted to join Dawn in her bed immediately after he comes in from the last potty out of the night. But.... he only stays there for a little while and then returns to curl up and sleep in his crate where he stays for the rest of the night. UNLESS there is a thunder storm! Then he comes running to my room and sleeps curled up in a little spot under the bed.

We use the crates for both of them when we are travelling or staying somewhere where sleeping on the bed is not an option. They are both very willing to go to the crates when asked because we always have treated their crates like a safe haven for them.

Henry sleeps with me. He's been in my bed since I brought him home. I started with a ramp so he could get up and down easily, and now I have a foot rest next to the bed so he doesn't have to do a giant leap. Each morning as soon as my cpap mask comes off my love session begins. We snuggle for a few minutes then I pat his hip and say alright and then the day begins. I love it! What a way to wake up and face the day...

Soffie and I do a "cuddle N coo" and before we actually get out of bed we do a "big stretch" and we both reach our our hands out and stretch our our legs and she sidles right up close to me...... I can't imagine starting my day off in any other way.......It's a very special ritual ....

This is the area where I think I'm lacking the most in raising Mac.

Mac sleeps on the bed most of the time. Once in a while, he'll sleep on the floor or his bed which is on the floor near the bed. Sometimes, he sleeps on the couch as well.

When he was a puppy, I had him sleep in his crate but he hated it. He would destroy the crate pad, the crate bowl, and the crate pan. Eventually, I let him sleep on the bed.

But I do realize this isn't the best of practices. He's jumping up more than I would like and I worry that might be bad for his back long term. I plan on getting a plastic traveling crate since it provides more of a cozy private spot than the wired crate does. I'm hoping he can get accustomed to it so he has secure place to relax and sleep during travel or staying overnight somewhere.

Shippo sleeps in his crate or under the bed.

Bernie is my adult and she either chooses to sleep on the floor next to my side of the bed or at my feet on the bed.

Basil is a baby and still sleeps in his crate or playpen.

As soon as we shut off the light, the dogs know it's time for bed and then they get in their crates. But we always wake up at three or four in the morning to them burrowing between our legs.
