Hi everyone! I was just curious to know where in the bay area/norcal is everyone from? Peanut and I are in the east bay, Hayward. We travel to a few other cities including the dog park over in Union City.

Hey there -

Willie and I are in Martinez, Contra Costa County. I know he would just love a play date with some other Corgis. We neede to get something together for when the weather is dryer and warmer :-)

I agree Kerre. The corgis in SF have a once a month meet up in one of the dog parks in SF (don't know more than that, but I've heard discussion on other sites).

Hi, I will be getting my first corgi soon, but I have been part of the SF Corgi group on Yahoo that has the monthly corgi meet ups in SF. They were super helpful with information, and just going through their forums was informative. Here is their website: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/sfcorgi/

I'm in Fortuna which is in the far north western part of the state. About 4 hours north of Santa Rosa. There are quite a few corgis up this way. A lot of them are actually working dogs!! on some of the local ranches working with goats and sheep, not many cattle.

I have come down to the bay area once in awhile. went to the Dixon Corgi Fair in November and the Wine Country Corgi picnic in July of 2007.

OH wow! I didnt know such activities exist for our Corgis. Is there a website the post all these CA events?

Peanut and sarah, I wish there was one website that someone could go to and get information on corgi gatherings. Seems that each group just does their own thing. The Dixon Corgi Fair, is the big fund raiser for the Golden Gate PWC Fanciers (Club that sponsors the AKC shows). It's held every November and is always listed on their website. The "Wine Country Corgis " is a group of owners in the Sonoma-Napa area and they have an annual picnic during the summer. There were nearly 80 corgis at the one last year, all playing on the Polo grounds of the Wild Oak Saddle Club. Quite a fun time was had by all. Good place to meet breeders and sport enthusiasts as well. If I find out any information from them, I'll let you know, but otherwise the GGPWCF does have events listed on their site.

I was born and raised in good ol' San Jose. My corgi, Spider, was born in Lodi, and lived with me and my mom for quite a while in San Jose until my mom passed away. Then, he moved to Massachusetts with me... so we're kinda expatriates, but we're still NorCal kids at heart.

Momo and I send you warm NorCal vibes.

I was also born and raised in San Jose. However, Reggie and I are still here. ;)

Darth Momo and I are over on the west side of the Bay in San Mateo. We like to strut our stuff in many dog parks along the peninsula and up in San Francisco. We've been meeting to attend the Corgi meet ups in SF but our schedules just haven't allowed us. We're hoping to go in February.

Are you referring to the SF meet at golden gate park? It's a little far for us, but once the weather get better Peanut and I might make the trip out there!
