Hey guys -

I was just wondering where you had to go to get your Corgi(s)? We didn't find too many breeders here in VA (especially around Richmond) so we had to go into middle-of-nowhere, NC.
About four hours one way.

We got ours from a woman named Evelyn Russell, who lives about an hour from Richmond towards Charlottesville. She was really nice, and her dogs were totally happy, healthy little beloved furballs. She used to breed shelties, but fell in love with her Pem Tinkerbell and decided to switch to corgis.

We bought our Corgi, Nick from Dalarno Kennels owned by Carrie Harris in Culpepper, VA. She has been a breeder for more than 20 years and only interviews her "forever home" owners in person. Carrie makes sure that her puppies match the families and their needs. We love our little Nick and we are hoping to start rally training with him next month. Carrie's kennel is Dalarno and they have ten acres with lots of roaming room and lots of love. I will always reccomend her because of her love of the dogs and the breed.

Hi Julia-
I live in Virginia Beach and spent the day in Culpeper yesterday with Carrie. I was happy to come upon your glowing recommendation and to see pictures of your handsome Nick. I was looking at/playing with 6 week old males and will go back in a couple of weeks to pick one out. I can hardly wait- this will be my first Corgi. We have always had Retrievers- I have a 6 year old black lab now .
Nick is beautiful and I was wondering who his parents are. The puppy I will eventually bring home was sired by Casper at Gaylord and the mom is Carrie's Sinea.

I got Rowan near Lexington VA. Rowan's breeder does amazing pottery too, she made Rowan a Dinner dish that she has eaten out of all her life.

Hi--There are a few excellent Corgi breeders in Virginia near the Radford, Culpeper and the Harrisonburg area that I am aware. My tri, Casey came from Stafford's Corgis in Spencer Virginia. The websites are www.staffordscorgis.com and www.triplehcorgis.com and www.delarnocorgis.com (in Culpeper); all 3 are wonderful breeders with an excellent record of breeding healthy, personality plus corgis. The 3 all have multiple Corgi champions from the conformation ring, and agility. I did get Casey from Stafford's Corgis and have had the pleasure of meeting all 3 breeders on several occasions at dog shows, but I'm not a breeder, I'm a fan though.

I know of a reputable breeder in Virginia who has two puppies to place, champion dad, champion lines. I have two of this breeders corgis now so I can put you in touch with her if there is anyone interested. This breeder has rigorous adoption standards, but boy are the pups worth it. One of my corgis is one major short of a champion and I'm just beginning to show the other. Please let me know.

We found our little girl from a breeder in Richmond. I'm not exactly sure where in Richmond, because she was supposed to be a surprise for me.
