If you click on the event (where it says Corgi Faire in blue), you can see who's attending and might be attending! See you all there this Sunday!!!

P.S. If you never been to this one, be prepared to be overwhelmed by all the Corgis!! :D

If anyone is interested in getting this dog litter pan, please let me know. My dog never used it (except to sleep in it), but if you work long hours & live in apartment, it should work very well. Good size for Corgis. The price is totally negotiable!

Colleen, good luck with your search! I got extremely lucky on my two, and found my girl Honey at the Sutter County Animal Shelter and my boy Hooch on Craigslist by posting a wanted ad for a young adult rescued corgi within a few hours of me. He was in Carson City, NV, but very well worth the drive! I still can't believe I came across two wonderful rescue corgis within a week of each other!

Corgis seem reasonably rare up here, especially as rescues, but if you call around, some shelters will put you on a list and give you a call if a corgi or corgi mix comes in. It's always worth a try. Craigslist seems like a good bet if you search long enough (I was literally searching a few times a day) or post a wanted ad, but just be careful asking questions about the dog before adopting just in case.

By the way, if anyone else is in the Nevada City/Grass Valley/Penn Valley/Auburn area (or doesn't mind a little driving), there's going to be a dog show at the Nevada County Fairgrounds this weekend, and an AnimalSave benefit next weekend. I'll be at both with Honey, Hooch, and my border collie Hana, too, and would be so happy to see some other corgis at either or both! The Nevada County Fairgrounds is a really lovely fairgrounds and worth the drive, too. :) If anyone sees two corgis (one red and white, one black-headed tri, and both small for corgis) and a border collie, please come say hello!

You can try Craiglist, but I think a rescue group would be better since tempermant is evaluated and neutering is done too.

www.goldengatecorgis.org has a rescue group. Their claim to fame is the 78lb rescue corgi that has lost a lot of weight and is now at his forever home. You'll be able to see the story at their website.

I know of a rescue group in Chico where a member shelters rescues before they are adoptrf. You can call the Butte Co. Animal shelter they can refer you. There are not too many that come through this area. Once in a great while both Sutter and Yuba County Animal Control have had Corgis come through their doors.

Hey all! Link and I are looking to add another Corgi to our furry family. Has anyone worked with/know of any goos rescue groups around Sacramento (or thereabouts). I've googled Northern California rescues and contacted a couple with no response. Does anyone have any recommendations for norcal corgi rescue groups?

June, I am happy for you and Sophie that she could have the surgical repair. My Aunt has an Old English Sheep Dog who had both elbows done at the same time. So much more dog to manage for potty breaks. She had to hire a tech from her clinic to live in for several days. We had to use a sling on Bodie to assist him for the first four weeks. He could only stand for very short amounts of time and no walking unassisted. I appreciate him every day. Money wise it is wierd when friends ask how much? He has become part of our financial portfolio at the VCA VetRC. Money going in, love coming back.... Cari
