I'm still doing a little research on where to get my puppies. I found a good number of places:

http://puppies.bigelbach.com/
http://sweetopalpuppies.com/index.html
http://familycompanions.net/corgi_page1.html#1

but if any of you have a better experience/knowledge of where to get the bestest puppy ever, i'd love to hear it!

I think I have his sister! We picked her up on June 7 and Linda and Scott's. They were so nice and our Bailey is so much fun

I did a google search of breeders and couldnt find one around here...so my husband and I are making the 11 hour (one way) drive up north to get our baby on July 5th. But the best consolation for us is that the breeder is VERY reputable, and we've been in constant contact since the litter was expected.

We went through www.cupidskisskennels.com in Iowa. Tried to find a good breeder locally that had red and whites but had no luck, so we were recommended to Puppyfinder.com by our Vet and found a wonderful breeder family in Iowa with a great reputation who breeds both Pembroke Welsh Corgi's and Daschunds. We are completely in love with our little guy and the breeder family was great to work with! I would highly recommend them and they had other great references as well :)

I contacted almost every breeder near So Cal last week for a puppy. I got mine this past weekend from Nina Milam at Redlands. She still has 2 tri females left that are 8 weeks old. The parents are both from generations of champion lines. She and her grandson let me play with the parents for a while and they're truly smart dogs! I also talked to Kim from Bakersfield and she seems to take really good care of her puppies. She has several available at $650. www.posocreekpuppies.com

I also contacted many breeders in So Cal and went with Nina Milam in Redlands (an hour away from us). We were looking for a tri-colored male and she had him! Because we aren't moving to our condo for another month and a half, she agreed to keep him until then. We have visitation rights though! LOL. She is a sweet lady and says her grandson wants to meet us (since it's really his pup) this weekend.

I got mine from sally@mountaincorgis.com. She lives in my area and I can't believe how great my dog is.......smart, sweet and funny. I would reccommend anyone interested in getting a puppy contact her.

My first shorty, Dodger, came from Stablemate's in Riverside. He had been adopted and returned by two different families by the time he was 5 months old. 3rd time's a charm for him, I guess! LOL My second shorty was rescued by pwccsc.org. I had put in an application to adopt before I found Dodger. Geni was saved from a nasty puppy-mill in San Diego when she was only a year old. She became Dodger's big sister on July 1, 06. I joined pwccsc and volunteered to foster rescues, which is how I ended up with shorty # 3. Koda had been picked up by Riverside Animal Control in March 08. They figured his age to be about 12 months, but the vet put him closer to 8 months. Animal Control labeled him as unadoptable because he didn't appreciate being pinched between his back toes. The rescue asked me to bail him out and foster him. My pair o' monkeys took to him immediately, so he became a permanent member of the family about a month later. Only one of them was planned, but I can't imagine my life without the 3 of them.

Hello SoCal Corgi Members!

My husband and I have been waiting very patiently for almost 7 years for our Corgi. Well, we are now in escrow on our first home and are ready to bring one into our lives!

I did a search on the breeder referral section of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America as well as some independent searches. I emailed just about everyone and came out with a few breeders that meet our criteria (actually have puppies now, or on the way, within a 200 mile radius, look reputable, etc etc). Here's our list:

Rincon (Kathy Dolge) - Located In Carpinteria, should have a litter in August
Summithill (Cindy Pera) - Located in Acton, 3 Week Old Litter
Caamora (Pat Seifert) - Located in Tehachapi, Puppies at End of May
Wild Wind (Jona Kalayjian) - Located in Anaheim Hills, Puppies in May
Biegelbach (Lisa Biegelbach) - Located in Escondido, Puppies in May

If anyone has any info (good or bad) on any of these breeders, please share! Or if you know of any others with puppies now, or on the way who arent too far, please let me know.

Thanks so much!!
