Al & Gwynn only have tales, not tails, but I love to see Pems with tails.
We tried to find a breeder who'd save an undocked pup for us, but found it doesn't work that way. Our breeder didn't even let us pick which pup -- she picked Al for us, and I am totally sure she made the best choice.
I wish the breed standard would be rewritten so that au naturale tails are OK, and "let the market decide".

I had a Pembroke owner as me if my undocked Pembroke was a cardigan? I was shocked that she couldn't tell what another Pembroke looked like. She also works at a pet store.

Just an FYI...I will not be docking my pups tails whenever we have some next year...I was very glad to get so much feedback even though I had pretty much decided not too anyway!

Walking down the street people keep asking me "oh is she part corgi?".... the tail throws them off so they don't know what to think of her. I'm thinking soon I may just tell everyone she is a baby fox that I found in the park.
Potus Comment by Potus on July 2, 2009 at 12:26am
My Potus has an undocked tail- it being illegal here in Victoria. I knows some people prefer them without, but hos tail gives him so much personality! He loves waving it about high in the air when out on walks.

Hi everyone! My Lola had 6 beautiful puppies on 4/22/09 and I have decided to not dock their tails.... I am European so I'm very used to seeing all dogs "au-naturale" lol I'm so glad there are more people who agree with no docking, plus their tails are beautiful and fluffy!

Hi! Winston has a 3-4 inch tail and I was told it is a "natural bob" meaning he was born with his tail shorter than the others? Can that even be true? Plus his tail has a lot of fur going off the tip like a "normal" tail does!

We just got Talula at EZ Brook (her brother is below). I think Susie said this was her 1st litter with undocked tails. Talula is obsessed with catching her tail.
