ng to have accidents, but that doesn't mean she isn't potty trained. She can't hold it for as long as she will be able to when she's grown, but she still knows that if she potties on the floor, she's going to get in trouble.
If irresponsible pet owners (I actually know people like this) leave their pets at home, for example, over the weekend, and do not have anyone to come and let the dog out, even a dog that's 5 or 6 years old will potty inside. This doesn't mean they're not potty trained, it means they really had to go and no one was there to help them open the door.
So yes, I actually would consider my dog potty trained. But if I leave her at home (in her crate) for 6 hours during the day (I can't do this, I feel too mean if I even thought of trying), it wouldn't surprise me if she pottied.…
reliable by 1-2 yrs. It is still way faster than a human child. Apply the principal and stick with it, you'll get there in no time! We've all been through it :)…
ed the potty pads. He came to me at 8 weeks old crate trained and fairly well potty trained (i.e. he knew outside was potty time). I lived in a 3rd story apartment and thought that using a potty pad would be easier than taking him down 3 sets of stairs every hour, BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I actually didn't have him fully potty trained until I moved to an apartment where I could take him outside to potty, the potty pads do just really confuse things. If you crate train, don't use pads, and limit her freedom I bet you will have her pretty reliably potty trained by 6 or 7 months old. Another thing, she is still very young like everyone said, however, she is a corgi! The are exceptionally smart and do need a job and some kind of activity to stimulate their brain, even the puppies. Just don't expect any intense training sessions that last more than a few minutes. you'll be suprised at how much they can learn with 2 or 3 minute training sessions.…
