About My Corgi(s):
My Ein was born on December 2007. I took him in at 3 months from a couple who realized that after keeping him for a week, they couldn't take care of him due to their busy schedules. He lives with younger brother, Brian and his older sister Washu, a tortoise shell cat. Ein loves playing with other dogs and his little nub goes crazy when meeting new people/dogs!

Brian is a black headed tri colored corgi, born on August 2009. Picked him up from the breeder at 8 weeks old. He was the biggest of the litter and he's a chubby puppy who waddles like a panda. He's my little panda cub!

Ein and Brian are 20 months apart.

Rest in peace, Q-tip, our white dwarf hamster: August 9, 2007 - June 20, 2009.

I have:
Pembroke

Brian's Growing Up

I made a little growth collage of Ein's soon-to-be little brother, Brian.
(Will add photos as they are being sent from the breeder.)

You know what? I'm not sure! People ask me this all the time, and I cannot figure out how I did it. I know it has something w/adding my rss feed to my page..and I had an extra "box" on the side of my profile that I dragged over to the main part of my profile.. I would ask Sam if you cannot figure it out. Sorry I am not more help!

I thought it was him! I just realized you had a blog spot...man I'm so slow. I added you--I'm still trying to figure out how to link blog spot with the corgi blogger--it would make life so much easier to just post on one site instead of two, you know? Have a great day!

Hey, thanks for your comments on my artwork! :] Much appreciated.
Your dogs are ADORABLE, by the way. The pictures with Brian sticking his tongue out made me squeak with adorableness.

I have never thought of "The Little Dog Blues" as a sad song at all. It's one of those double-entendre Blues seduction songs. This is a dog that knows what it wants and is out to find it, and will succeed. That's what the Blues means to me -- not wallowing in sorrow, but acknowledging Trouble and meeting it with Determination to rise above it and succeed. Encouragement amid Struggle.
My favorite example of this is Stan Rogers' "Mary Ellen Carter", which I call a "White Blues" song:

The Mary Ellen Carter
(Stan Rogers) {I change the ship's name to "The schooner Phoenix"}

She went down last October in a pouring driving rain.
The skipper, he'd been drinking and the Mate, he felt no pain.
Too close to Three Mile Rock, and she was dealt her mortal blow,
And the Mary Ellen Carter settled low.
There were five of us aboard her when she finally was awash.
We'd worked like hell to save her, all heedless of the cost.
And the groan she gave as she went down, it caused us to proclaim
That the Mary Ellen Carter would rise again.

Well, the owners wrote her off; not a nickel would they spend.
"...She gave twenty years of service, boys, then met her sorry end.
But insurance paid the loss to them, so let her rest below..."
Then they laughed at us and said we had to go.
But we talked of her all winter, some days around the clock,
For she's worth a quarter million, afloat and at the dock.
And with every jar that hit the bar, we swore we would remain
And make the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Rise again, rise again, that her name not be lost
To the knowledge of men.
Those who loved her best and were with her till the end
Will make the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

All spring now, we've been with her on a barge lent by a friend.
Three dives a day in hard hat suit and twice I've had the bends.
Thank God it's only sixty feet and the currents here are slow
Or I'd never have the strength to go below.
But we've patched her rents, stopped her vents, dogged hatch and
portholes down.
Put cables to her, 'fore and aft and girded her around.
Tomorrow, noon, we hit the air and then take up the strain.
And watch the Mary Ellen Carter Rise Again.

For we couldn't leave her there, you see, to crumble into scale.
She'd saved our lives so many times, living through the gale
And the laughing, drunken rats who left her to a sorry grave
They won't be laughing in another day. . .
And you, to whom adversity has dealt the final blow
With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go
Turn to, and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain
And like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.

Rise again, rise again - though your heart it be broken
And life about to end
No matter what you've lost, be it a home, a love, a friend.
Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.

I actually already found a breeder and he only has two tri-color girls left! I'm suppose to make a trip out this weekend to see them, but I am still worried if Scraper will have any major jealousy issues if all eyes aren't on him! haha

Hi Aj,

I've been considering getting myself another corgi, but I've been a bit weary of how my current corgi would get along with a new pup. I was browsing through everyone's post and whatnot and came across your page... I was wondering if you could tell me how Ein took to Brian the first day they met and whatnot =] Thanks!
