Penny will be 8 months old August 6th. She is is from a breeder in Couer d'Alene Idaho. She weighs 20 lbs. and stands 10" at the withers so isn't quite full grown. She is a rambunctious adolescent pup. She does get along with other dog; the woman who my dad bought her from had two other dogs and she plays well with my two Corgis. We've never actually witnessed her with children but, again, the woman who had her temporarly had children and she didn't mention any concern about that. She Love's her cat. One thing that I will mention right up front is that she has what is referred to as juvenile cataracts in her right eye. This condition doesn't affect her vision and from what we read, shouldn't ever. I have pictures but can't for the life of me figure out how to attach them to a message through this site. If you have a regular email I can send them to that address if you'd like.
He would like to recover what he paid for her-$200. She was spayed in May and is current will all of her vaccinations.
Penny is a really sweet pup that, just because she is a puppy, it too much for my 80 year old dad. She would love to find a "forever home" with folk who can train and play with her as she needs.
I will be away from my computer after 9:00 today (Friday) but can be reached by phone at 208-267-3240
Gosh you sure have some nice photos, esp. with the puppies & children.
I think Gwynnie & Al deserve a ranch... but maybe the climate here on the west side is more like Wales... each has had a chance to ski up Mt. Catherine at Snoqualmie Pass this spring.
Thanks so much for the info on your fluffy. Yes, it's too bad you're so far away. I know that some folks choose a corgi from a distance and have it shipped to them, but I feel like I need to meet the pup and see if there is chemistry. That said, I do appreciate you taking the time to reach out.
One more thing please: can you remember what time of year the snake incident was?
I know zilch about the central Washington environment, and even less about how my dogs would react to a snake.
Always a bit nervous in unfamiliar surroundings.
Hi Debbie!
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your home today. What a lovely piece of heaven. Your dogs greeted me with gusto.....lol......I loved it. All the happy faces and smiles!. They are all so beautiful. I couldnt decide which one was my favorite. I kept changing my mind all the way home.....lol. What a welcoming committee!
My husband saw Lorena online and it was love at first sight. He told me " as long as you are over there you should go see her" I was shocked....lol. I had been poking my nose around looking at red and white pups but come to find out he has his heart set on another tri and we do want another girl. LaVerne is so friendly and mellow. She loves everyone and everything.......well except birds seem to annoy her. I think she wishes she could fly too. She recently graduated from puppy kindergarten and got along great with all the other dogs.
Please tell your husband thanks again for letting me interrupt his morning. Just give me a jingle when you find something out.
Thanks again for everything. Your puppies are so cute!!
Thanks for the snake info. So yes, it can happen? They were certain it was bitten by a venomous snake? I have seen a harmless snake at Vantage, a garter-type snake that mimics a rattler, diamondback color/pattern and all.
Snakes sometimes give warning bites, not injecting venom ("Bitten by a fer-de-lance", Stephen J. Gould). A Utah friend's DAUGHTER was once bitten on the heel by a rattler -- with no consequence but anxiety. I fear an envenomed bite would kill a small dog quickly.
Hi Debbie!
Greetings from Wenatchee. I was just looking at your pups and Im hopelessly in love with Lorena...lol...what a cutie! Then I was looking at Nia's pedigree and discovered that my pup and Nia are related. LaVernes dad is Tie goes to Sammy Sosa! No wonder Im in love with your pups...they are related! Did Nia come from Mari in Ellensburg? She told me where Tie went so I hunted him down and found my LaVerne. She is the most incredible creature.
Beautiful dogs. A full litter of tris!
Just noticed your page. I've driven past you 3x this winter, taking Al & Gwynn out to Ancient Lakes, Gingko SP & the Vantage climbing area at Frenchman's Coulee (to escape Seattle winter). Just there last weekend to see the desert in bloom 4/20/9.
Had I known you had puppies so close, I'd have been tempted to "invite" myself over to squeeze some fur. I have to be heavily sedated to visit puppies.
Al & Gwynn came from Carrie Hale and Joyce Gilpin (she's a horse person too) on the west side.
Do you worry about snakes/scorpions on the east side? I'm usually over there when it's too cold for them, but I've seen timber rattlers in lower Icicle Canyon, as early as June.
Well, I'm a teacher but would rather be home with our dogs and horses. Someday.....
I love to do anything that involves the out doors - fishing, hiking, boating, horseback riding & camping.
I live with my husband on a small farm (10 acres) where we raise our dogs and horses.
We have four loving corgis. Our oldest is Mitzie she is 9 years old - she started our love of the breed. We also have Max - a 4 year old black headed tri and the man of the house. Mari is a 2 year old red headed tri - very petite. Nia is almost 2 and a red headed tri - she has such a pretty face.
I have:
Pembroke
Nia just had a litter of puppies on March 24. She had 8 beautiful puppies - 2 female and 6 male.
