Sooooo cute!

Yeah, she smelled pretty good. She didn't roll on them but was trying to pick them up and run off with them.Now she doesn't care about them. Unless they're jumping around a lot. She loves to go to the river. Not too into swimming yet, but she takes…

I bet that made her smell good. At least she was small enough for a sink bath. My boys love the lake, and it's always a bonus when they can find something fishy to roll in!

My Standard Poodle had Alzheimers. I finally put him down at 18 but he was pretty confused for the last year. It doesn't matter how long or short they live it is still hard to lose them! I am glad Tinker is keeping you busy. LOL

More great suggestions! I will try to pick up her food and try feeding her when I want. Hope I don't forget. She doesn't eat that much and I don't think she is over weight at 25#, is she? The closest obedience class near me is 25 miles. Can't hardly…

I think obedience classes are a great way to start! You can find a good positive trainer and really improve your relationship with your pup! For every time she manages to not listen to you she becomes more likely to develop habits that will only get…

I would pick up the food and set her up with a feeding schedule. That would probably be the simplest and easiest method in telling her who's boss. Start there and then work on having her do simple commands. It'll be easier to train her if she knows…

Love the names. Are you a baker? How could you not love a Corgi? They seem to love everyone. At least mine does. Tinker is still a little mouthy, but she is getting better. She's so quick it's hard to correct her. I have had lots of bruises. She is…

I was looking for a "dog". I had previously had Yorkies (McCormick, Spice, and Ginger), and since moving to Florida, and owning my house, I wanted a real "dog". I searched the internet, and was considering a sheltie, or a bordie collie. I found the…

Tinker is getting to where she listens to my words when I talk to her. She knows what I'm talking about and gets excitedd about that, but she doesn't really even get obsessed with her balls. She loves to FRAP and have me chase her, but then she will…

About My Corgi(s):
I have a 1½ year old Pembroke named Tinker. She is a real "Stinker". She likes to torment my 2 cats and chase the horses as she has no idea how to herd them. She is the only dog that I have ever had that is not motivated by treats. She'll walk away before she will do any trick for food. Frustrating! But she's a great dog otherwise.
I have:

Thanks!

I want to thank everyone who has posted comments for us since we have joined Mycorgi.com. I am having a great time looking at everyone's pictures of their adorable pets. I can appreciate your talent since I can't get my Tinker to sit still for much of anything.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her motivated to listen to me. She will not do anything for a treat. She just walks away. She does better when I have the leash on her, but I don't want to keep her leashed all the time. I'm n… Continue

Welcome to Mycorgi.com!
Corgi not motivated by food? Really weird! Have you tried using cooked chicken or warm hot dogs? Shiro wold kill for those, but he even works for goldfish crackers.
PS: Tinker is adorable! Love those cute puppy pictures.
