That time of season is here again, and may I say that here in Iowa, we are CRAZY for our Hawkeyes! This year we are totally ready...as you can see, we have some of our team in tip-top shape and ready to play! Seanna is our linebacker, and Jackson our quarterback.
GO HAWKS!!…

I am absolutely on cloud nine. My husband and I have wanted to find a house on some acreage for years. Unfortunately, we can only be 10 miles from our city due to my husband's work requirements (he's a fireman). Periodically we go driving around in the country just looking to see if there are any good deals....
Sunday we went to go look at an acreage. It was a run down old farm house that would have needed tons of work--we kept driving and found totally by accident a new…

We just got home with Jackson, and WOW...things are going GREAT!! He did absolutely awesome on the way home, slept probably half of the time and destroyed his purple dinosaur that Jane gave him for the ride home the rest of the time. We stopped to potty, but I think he was too scared to do anything. Seanna and Sage have welcomed him into the pack without any grumpiness at all--although I think at times he's still a little overwhelmed with Sage's…

Thanks Jackson, I was just telling people how great your last pic looked with Amber.
The reason for my surgery was a badly broken finger from breaking up a dog fight between Bella and Livvy:(
Is Jackson a fluff? He is such a pretty fellow.
Hi!
just wondering if you've heard from many people about next weekend?
Hi Jennifer, now that the weather is getting better, would it be a good time to start planning a meetup at the Thornberry Dog Park? Maybe after Easter?
Hi Jennifer, thanks for resonding to my post. I'm just figuring out this site, and either pert of your comment was cut off or I'm doing something wrong, lol. But it cuts off after "you can try the" and I would like to read about what I can try!
Wow, he does look like Dillon! I thought Kiki was a dachshund mix, but maybe he's not! In any case, he is such a special dog, and I feel so lucky to have found him.
If you'd be up for helping us co-organize a meet-up at Thornberry/Lucky Pawz dog park, that would be fantastic! There are at least 4 corgis who are there regularly, and we know people with corgis, so we might even be able to reserve one part of the park.
Since it's going to be so cold for the next bit, perhaps we'll wait until spring? Hope we can meet soon!
I like all the pictures on your page. You have done an excellent job.
Jennifer,
It wasn't a very lengthy message - it only allows a limited number of characters. I was mainly trying to explain why I was suddenly adding you as a friend without any previous introduction or conversation :) Jane had recommended getting in touch with you since you had an experience with a pup with that same health issue.
My questions were not very specific...I've only learned about all of this in the last 3-4 days and have been trying to do a lot of research on my own but needless to say it's difficult to know how accurate all the online info is. Sounds like there isn't much research to date (and some vets are not even educated) on this condition.
I will keep in mind the shaving technique if it comes to that. Meanwhile I will try to give the cranberry supplement and keep a close watch for UTI symptoms. I'm hoping that delaying the spaying will prove to be the solution in this instance. If you find out anything new that's pertinent and useful, please do share and I will make sure to do the same!
Hello, Jennifer. I'm sorry to hear that your Seanna isn't doing good, again. It seems to be trial and error trying to find the route cause. Everything I've tried seems to keep her PH balance off and struvites. It is interesting that your vet mentioned that human food might be one of the root causes. I have considered making Luxy a chicken casserole if the raw and kibble don't work out. Hope Seanna gets better.
