Definitely agree with Maryanne about the diet - we're not totally raw, but we are totally zero grain.
For shedding I find using a rubber curry daily (then a brush-out) works great. I only bath when needed, but I do use a conditioner and THAT help...
Use the Furminator comb. I use it and then give her a bath and it helps a lot. I do it once a week or every 5 or 6 days, depending on how bad the shedding is...
Your Right John---I don't feed them bones unless it is ground in a patty form. They can choke on bones or get bowel perforation. I always use prepared patties....they are totally safe. I also never feed Chicken or Turkey to stay away from Samonell...
That is wonderful! The biggest differance I see is NO plaque, no doggy smell, tiny once a day firm poops, energy, non stinky urine and poop, shine in the coat, NO DOGGY BREATH! The plaque was what i noticed first, it took 1 week for it to get rid ...
I live with my dogs and love the company. I have taken a strong interest in holistic natural dog care .
About My Corgi(s):
i have two healthy pembroke welsh corgis and I beleive they are so healthy because I feed them raw dog food without any grains. Also the right kind of supplements help a great deal too!
Such charming-looking corgis. I feed my corgi, Ritz holistic food too ever since I brought him home at 3 months of age. Now that he's almost 17 months old, I feed him a powder supplement since he was 12 months old. Feed him some fruit and veggies too.
You're quite welcome. I never thought I would ever be able to own one. Now, we have 2 that are rescues and 3 others that are rescues as well but with AKC paperwork. All our furry kids are rescues both canine and feline. We absolutely love all our kids and wouldn't know what to do without them.
