Just had Moira checked for a lipoma yesterday. Our vet said to watch it, and if it grows, we'll remove it.

Glad to hear! Good Luck!

Thanks for your comments. I will give the vet a call today. I sat with her last night and checked to see if it was causing her any pain and it didn't...but it will keep worrying me if I don't make sure.

my lab Cody had a spot like this when he was a youngster also, we took him in and they pulled some stuff out said it was a fatty deposit and it would and did reabsorb on it's own....

It sounds like a lipoma which is a benign (non-cancerous) tumour that older dogs get. But to make sure you should definitely have it checked by the vet.

For your own piece of mind have it checked out! I don't think it's anything either but you'll feel better!

I would check with a vet too. Usually if you can move it around freely, it's just a cyst but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I would have it checked out. Sparty has a sabaceous (spelling?) cyst on his chest. It is no big deal and our Standard Poodle years ago had them. It could be something that simple but she is kind of young for it. I would check with the vet.

I bought Penny the Pedi Paws and at first she was afraid of it, but now I can just put her on my lap, roll her over and file them down with it.

Last night when Ron was petting Penny he felt a small growth on her side. It is below the fur, is about the size of a pea, and you can move it around. Has anyone had experience with this type of thing. Should I bring her to the vet or watch to see...

I am in a relationship with a wonderful guy and am enjoying my life. My daughter was just married in June to a great guy and when they got their Corgi I just had to have my own little baby.

About My Corgi(s):
Penny is 20 weeks old now and growing a mile everyday. She loves to snuggle up in your neck and give kisses, and likes sitting on the recliner with mom or dad watching tv. She can be quite the little stinker when she wants to but is learning quickly and is generally very well behaved. She gets together with my daughters corgi Puck and they are maniacs when they are together! She loves the water and jumps in her kiddie pool everyday...even if it's raining out! Recently my daughter brought her on a walk by Lake Superior and Penny jumped right in and started swimming...her buddy Puck on the other hand wanted nothing to do with swimming.

Small growth

Last night when Ron was petting Penny he felt a small growth on her side. It is below the fur, is about the size of a pea, and you can move it around. Has anyone had experience with this type of thing. Should I bring her to the vet or watch to see if it will go away on it's own? Any advice/ideas would be great...thanks!

Allergic Reactions

http:://www.mycorgi.com/photo/albums/reaction-1

Penny had some kind of a reaction last night. I have no idea what caused it. We went to Petco...bought some toys/treats/food...came home and she had dinner and went outside. About an hour later her face started to swell up. I gave her Benadryl and watched her closely. She seems fine today, other than her eyes are weepy (they have been for a week or so on and off I figure all the pollen in the air right now). I'm not sure if I should bring her in t… Continue

Just saying hi to the Duluth corgis. I left there in 1976 -- I'm sure nobody had ever heard of a corgi then -- my bro still lives there, on Park Point.
Not surprised that the toad passed easily -- we fed our first corgi a raw meat diet including raw chicken wings and small thighs; the raw bones just disappeared.

Melinda, thanks for the positive comment on one of my latest photo uploads. My boy, Ponch, is a Merle Corgi and Chihuahua mix and his littermate, MacGyver, is a Fawn Corgi and Chihuahua mix. They are amazingly smart and people love their look.

Hi Melinda and Penny!!! Giving you a friendly Mn Hi!!! I noticed you were on the to dock or not to dock blog and mentioning how hard it is to find Corgis here in MN. We found Gemima and Phinneas in Waverly, MN. the website for their breeder is Dahlhousekennels.com. Waverly is 40miles west of Minneapolis. We got Edward in Lime Springs Iowa just about 6wks ago!! drop us a growl!!
