Wow, I just happened upon your story. I really appreciate your attempt to warn others. I had a dog just nip one of my corgis. She was leashed and the other dog wasn't. While she (luckily) was not hurt, for the rest of her life she was so fearful o...

Dog Attack - Prevention and How to Handle

I have watched MyCorgi over the past few weeks and have seen numerous entries about dog attacks, near-misses, dog park issues, etc. Some of you may remember our story of "Kai" the Superdog! Kai is still recovering, very well thanks for all who ask!, from an Akita attack a month ago. This was Kai's second dog attack, as he was attacked by a Great Dane in 1/07 - and obviously, survived that as well. We call him Kai Superdog now, because there are not too many dogs that could survive both of those… Continue

She did it AGAIN! duck POOP!

As if I don't have my hands full allready, what with Kai recovering and making sure there aren't any wayward Akita's or hormonal Great Dane's, plus hanging on for dear life with my trusty nine-iron to fend off said vicious dogs - plus the two corgi's leashes and assorted poop bags - woosh, it's an event going for a walk around here. But lovely little Luna is up to her old tricks again, vying for her space as top attention seeking dog! As I'm checking out the lovely sky I feel a tug on a leash an… Continue

Update on Kai - SUPERDOG!

Well, It is so hard to try to change Kai's name to Super dog now, we love him as Kai, so we just call him Kai Super Dog now, and he just nods in silent agreement, like he knew it all along, and why are we so surprised. And as usual, he is still searching for food, that's the most promising sign of recovery - I swear he will be the first dog to get gastric bypass surgery! Anyways - GREAT news today - he had his drains removed - gruesome - they stuck out of him about 2 inches, but there were about… Continue

An Unbelievable update on the "Good One" be warned...

For those of you familiar with Kai - my b/w Cardigan and my original post of his very bad day wher we found out that he had been diagnosed with lameness and many other horrible things as a result of a Great Dane attack in 1/07 that thank God he survived, first I thank you all for the prayers and kind words. However, I have some unbelievable and horrific news, however we are choosing very hard to look at the glass as half full right now. Sunday morning I was walking Kai and his loverly companion,… Continue

The "Good One" has had a really bad day...

Our beloved Kai has had a very bad day - he's been diagnosed with weight-bearing lameness, an arthritic stifle, possible ivdd, and he's only 5 yrs old. but i think the worst part was being away from his girlfriend, Luna. Kai is very stoic - it is extremely difficult to tell when he is in pain - i'll tell more of that, the only way I knew to take him in today, was he literally fell over during a run, and off we went. This morning we were out doing our work and Kai was limping on his front right p… Continue

Aww, how cute! On our walk today we saw some people that thought Lance was still a puppy, and of course didnt know what he was, which didnt surprise me. I got a kick out of them thinking he was still a puppy. He was so excited to see them! He will always be a pup to me even though hes 3 now, wow where does the time go! hehe

Was the book Dogzilla (the companion to Kat Kong)? By Dav Pilkey? (I used to teach school, we read those a lot). They are hysterical books. But thanks for your support -- I'm very shy about writing in public, but figured, who would be nicer to me than a web full for Corgi fanatics?

Soupcon Susie indeed! I thought of you when I typed the word "eschew." hahahahaha. I have a secret yearning to right some kids books from a dog's point of view, and am actually using the blog to exercise. Will NOT be using soupcon and eschew in the books, needless to say....

yeah, maybe the best way to get your dog to look at the camera is to brandish a glob of dog sh*t above it!
The "Smell the Flowers" pic was, of course, just a stroke of luck.
