Hey guys! There's a 5k event that I'm thinking I'm going to with Trice. It's in Fountain Valley on August 2nd. Would be fun to see a group of Corgis running/walking!!! http://www.mycorgi.com/events/paws-for-cause-5k-dog-runwalk

Hometown:
Irvine, CA (OC)
About Me:
Married, young adult professionals, living in Orange County. Trice, our tri-colored PWC, is our only child (for now, anyway). We love him to pieces and are so proud to be his "parents".

We're looking forward to attending the meetups in LA and OC.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Trice was born 5/31/08. We used "Tri" as part of his name, hence the name Trice. =) He is an awesome dog, has quite the personality and is a bit rambunctious. He still tends to jump up on people out of excitement and we hope that his aggression (or fear) of large dogs subside as we socialize him more. He loves to chew the heck out of his toys, loves to play fetch, can catch pretty well and does a few commands already.

He recently was neutered so we hope his need to mark everything in site will be drastically reduced. He'll also be attending dog obedience this summer as well!
I have:
Pembroke

Trice

Newly neutered, stapled twice and recovering

It's been a while since the last update on Trice. Well, he's been to a couple dog parks, one in Fullerton and the other in Los Alamitos. Out of the two, we favored Los Alamitos. Mainly because the grassy area was huge, clean and expansive. I think it's also noteworthy to point out that both large and small dogs were combined. I noticed Trice plays well with the small dogs (sniffing, following, etc) but when a large dog comes around he bares his teeth and barks. He's always been pretty aggressive… Continue

Mr. October 2009!

Just wanted to document here so this will be a quick blog. Trice made the Corgi calendar and he is Mr. October!! We are more than thrilled because it is our wedding anniversary month as well (two years ago!). Congrats to all participants/finalists. Corgis definitely photograph well. =)

That's all for now!

Trice

Off leash!

On Saturday, hubby and I decided to "let go" of the leash at the grassy area near his old junior high. There were a few other people there: one perfecting his golf swing., a couple men flying RC planes and an owner training his golden retriever off leash. I thought these distractions would send Trice everywhich way, but surprisingly, he was very focused on us!

The moment we unclasped the leash, we let him run wild. I could see his corgi smile shine through, knowing he wasn't restricted by a lea… Continue

A new update on Trice

Since Trice got sick a few weeks ago, he has been cooped up indoors all day, only let outside to go #2, he goes #1 on pads we leave in certain areas of the house. The Vet said not to let to make sure he doesn't get sick again and until he gets the last set of his puppy shots and rabies shot. So you can imagine how much energy Trice has when we get home from work. The most activity he was getting was us training him. So far he has learned how to sit, stay and sometimes lay down, we're still worki… Continue

Trice's rough weekend

Two weeks in and Trice is adjusting well. He still has issues with mouthing and jumping on people (small kids are terrified of this) but I know in time training can curb that. He is peeing on the pads but I wish I can say the same for the poop. And walks are a hit or miss. Sometimes he’ll love to go on walks and other times he completely REFUSES. We also recently switched to a gentle leader and bring treats with us on the walks. Hopefully he’ll get used to it. I REALLY hope he does.

Trice had a… Continue

It was good. Sorry about the timing and a belated Happy Birthday to Trice! We totally forgot that Sunday was going to be Father's day so we didn't get much of the gang together. Zeke (and Dexter) was suppose to meet up with us, but we don't know what happened to them, maybe they had Father's Day plans too. We actually ended up meeting up with a new corgi friend named Yoda, we met Yoda and family at the weekly puppy play group we go to every Saturday morning at Petco and told them about the beach day, so Mr. B and Yoda were the only two Corgis there. But the weather was perfect and the water wasn't cold at all. And the two little guys even jumped into the water and swam around a couple of times. The best part was after his bath he was sleeping like a log for a couple hours afterwards. I'll let you know when we do another one, or if you plan on taking Trice out there, just give us a holler.

HI Trice!
This Renaissance Faire is the twice-a-yer event at Felecita Park in Escondido. I know there are one or two big ones over your way. I don't know if dogs are welcome at those or not, so you'd do well to make sure. The one we went to comes to town on April and again in OCtober. It is lots of fun!

Hi there, this actually works out great because I'll be traveling next week for two weeks and will be back on June 12th, so the weekend of June 13-14 should be fine! I was sad that I was going to miss your birthday get together but now we can all do a belated one! Happy birthday to Trice and Bumblebee and I look forward to meeting his brother!

Corgi-Topia is an elaborate dog run that my fiance and I are building. A place for the puppies to play. I made a huge dog house, made like a real house, am thinking about putting a ceiling fan in it, I have planted all new grass, and am planting some stuff outside the fence for shade and smell, and making a shade canopy to put over most of it, with a custom built watering system for the puppies and I am trying to design some sort of playground type stuff for them... something they would play with.. like teather ball for puppies or something lol. Not totally sure yet. ;)
