Our first Corgi (Pickles) had both ears down when we got her at 8 weeks. We had a friend living with us and he silked her right one whenever she slept on his lap. Now, that ear never really ever…Continue

"I don't agree with the wait and see. Just like Knox gelatin strengthens nails it strengthens their ears."

"When I got my puppy, both ears were down.  After a while, they both were up and then one fell again.  She is 5 months old now and they have both been up for a couple months.  I never did anything to aid in keeping them up.  Just…"

"I fed mine some gelatin, he took a beating from his litter mates. Now his ears are upright at all times : ) "

Peaches is doing great, looks like she probably didn't eat a penny after all!

I called the vet and he said to keep an eye out for the symptoms, but that usually it would just pass. Well I've been the worried parent and watching her every move for the past few days...and it seems like she is fine. Spunky as ever and eating tons of kibble at mealtimes.

Thank you to everyone who commented, it really made me feel like I'm not alone when things get scary. I really did appreciate the…

I am so worried! I know that the ones minted after 1987 have zinc in them and can kill a puppy if they aren't diagnosed. We found another penny sitting on the dog bed, and I don't know where it came from - were there more? I don't know.

I keep checking her gums and they are light pink, not white. No throwing up or lethargy. She's peeing and pooping okay. She is rambunctuous enough so I'm watching her closely. I do have to go to work, but I'll be home by 2:00. OH, this is awful! I…

I don't know if those Mesheye things actually do any good. For that matter, there is no evidence that sunblock reduces the incidence of melanoma (interesting article about this in Science awhile back; I remember that part). Conceivable that the Mesheyes -- like scratched or poor-quality sunglasses -- do more harm than good by dimming light and dilating the iris, thus letting in more damaging light. But I think snowblindness is sunburn to the cornea, not internal. I've dabbed sunscreen on the thin spot on the dogs' noses, but remember how that stuff stings when it gets into your own eyes.
I try to make them wear Doggles if on snow for long periods above, say, 6000, which is not often. They always have to go in front, 'cause they'll rub them off. You have to get replacement lenses; dogs are careless with optics.
I suspect they can see better with the Mesheyes.
