Just a little deeper, please?

The weather is awesome in Austin, and we went on our first official hike today. Campbell is a little over 4 months, and I have been walking her a little more each week as she grows. It seems to be working, since she took on the 1.2 mile mini-hike with no issues. Her pads don't seem…

For those of you who have lost a cherised pet know the anguish, hurt and empty feeling that's left behind. I lost my Daisy on 8-13th of this year and I still cry for her. I only had her for 6 months but it seemed like forever.
On 10-30, my brother, George, received a call from his niece, Robin, up in Santa Barbara; about 2 1/2 hours North of us. She walks her dog on a path near the Marina and has made wonderful pet friends…

So I decided to take my Pupsters for their first camping trip. Little did I know how much fun it would be. A girl I work with asked if I wanted to accompany her and her family for an outting in Sequoia National Park. Now how could I resist such a temptation. . .lol
The first night was marvelous, aside from the Bear that came into the campground. My friend and her family brought a couple of tents. . .well I decided I would rather sleep in my SUV since the back folds down… Continue

I'm thinking about taking Scout and Bindi kayaking. (Hence the reason why I asked about life jacket sizing.) Has anyone tried to do this with their corgis??? Was it enjoyable? I really would like to take them but I'm not sure how they would do! Do they just sit there????? Any help would be appreciated!

Ok, so before we go pick up our new puppy in January, we need to finish getting all the essentials. This includes bowls and a brush mainly. Anyways, the dog's name is going to be Optimus (after the transformer, yeah I'm a dork). Anyawys, I went to cafepress.com and created a dog bowl with his name and a symbol from the Transformers TV show. I ordered it, but the next morning I found out that I had to cancel it because the image was copyrighted. I really like the design I made and I really want…

My hair dresser has two lovely corgis and when I went to go get my hair done on Saturday I brought Izzie along to play with Dorothy and Henry. Dorothy and Izzie spent the afternoon running around the shop and outside chasing each other and generally having a good time. She and Henry also get along real well but Dorothy kind of like to be an attention hog so she takes up Izzie's time. ;-) Sine Lily isn't much of a player, it's good to get Izzie out and playing with other doggies. I wanted to…

I spent a good amount of time outside today with the pups. My dad put up the pool last weekend but we didn't really get to go in until today. We never tried putting Lily in the water but my dad was kind of anxious to see how Izzie would do in the water. I wish I would have brought my camera out! It was sooooo cute! Lily is too old now to shock her with putting her in the water, but Izzie was a little shocked too! I lifted Izzie to give to my dad who was in the pool and he dunked her lower body…

Summer is finally here and the heats are unbearable for me, autumn-loving fatty :) It will be nearly 90°F today, which is realy a HOT day for our country. Risa is doing fine, resting all day in the shade. I walk him no later than 8 am and no sooner than 7 pm. Often we walk round the castle, which is in fact water-castle and so Risa can cool out in the moat or in a nearby stream. Here's a picture of us going to the castle. My friend made it last week when she came back from her stay in Norway…

It was unusually cold this morning :( so when I woke up I put on my warmer "winter" slippers, which I haven't worn for a couple of months, since before we got Penny. She is obsessed with them! They have a lambswool cuff on them and that's the part she loves, but I almost crushed her several times because she was attached to my feet. She wasn't actually biting my feet, just the cuff, but I think I am going to have to make the slippers go away because she no longer bites anyone's feet and I don't…
