I also have a dog which the vet beleives has DM. I have ordered the test to see if she carries the gene. Like you I am looking for any advice you have to give. I have read many articles and have been researching it now for a couple of weeks. I know there is not much hope. Do you still have your baby? Hope to hear from you soon.
