My sister lost one of her miniture dauschund in her yard while she was standing in the doorway. I cant believe how bold they are! I had been walking my corgis in the woods off leash for years. Now i'm afraid to let them off leash anywhere. I am sooo sorry for you loss, and also for the loss of confidence and security on your own property. I hope your other dog gains her confidence back. I do give my Petie an anti-anxiety for his storm terrors. It keeps him from tremmoring, cowering,and hiding during storms. He does not act like a zombie dog. Just himself not stressed. Also since I started giving it to him, he dosen't need it as bad. he seems to tolerate mild storms without the med. Maybe a short course would help your dog cope.
