Profile Information

Hometown:
Hurricane, WV
About Me:
I am a stay at home Mom, married to hubby Steve, one son Zach, & two dog children Chappie and Daisy. Chappie is our 1st dog and he is a mix from the pound....good boy. I've always wanted a corgi. In December 2007, my son Zach, brought me my birthday present! I'm sure you can guess what that it was! Her name is Daisy! My husband was a bit (in love) with her face and couldn't resist!

About My Corgi(s):
My only little girl is Daisy! She was born in October 2007. Her papers describe her as orange and white. She has a great personality! Her brother Chappie is 6 1/2 sheltie and something else that we bought from the shelter about 6 years ago. They love each other. He weighs about 55 pounds. They are sooo funny together. Daisy also loves all the dogs in our neighborhood and the kids too of course. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world!!!!

Thank you so much for your comments. My 3 children are all grown so I can devote the time and energy needed for Roscoes' special needs. He and Penny get along though she's older and doesn't really play with him, she is tolerant. We adopted Bazel, a 4 yr. FAT corgi a few months ago. It took a while for Roscoe to adjust, but they're ok. It's a very ecclectic mix of pets here for sure. I do love them all. Your site is so darling, the music and your pics are .........well, anything with Kermit ! Thanks again and Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Your babies are equally adorable. Thanks for the complement. We have 7 animals in total. Sometimes it would be nice to have a dull moment. Although I would be happy to hear the maylay continue after that moment. I had gone back to school for Animal Behavior so I appreciate all the subjects that I can get. These 7 are very useful.

Hi Lisa!

I am new to this site and stumbled across your page. Daisy is so gorgeous! My parents are from the Scott Depot area and got their first Corgi when I was growing up. I absolutely love them! If you don't mind me asking...where were you able to find her? I have been searching for a Corgi high and low!!! I live in Columbus right now and no luck!

Hope to talk to you soon!

hahaha, the show "little bear" is partly where his name came from! my brother is 10 years younger than i am and he LOVED that show when he was little. but i decided to let my brother name him. he's 12 now, so i was terrified. i thought it was gonna be something like optimus prime, LOL!!!

aren't laser pointers the GREATEST? and its really a good way to burn off some of that corgi energy. he foams at the mouth when we play with it, its kind of funny! he goes CRAZY for it... i mean if i open that drawer he comes RUNNING... his little girlfriend corgi doesn't get it like your other dog, lol! she sits there and looks at him like he's insane.

Thanks again. As each day goes by more memories are coming and less tears are forming so I know eventually I can get through.

Thanks so much! I was just thinking today while I was in the yard that Riley actually caught a mole (the things that dig up the yard) and he had it in his mouth and he looked up at me..I said ahh drop it because I didn't want it to bite him lol That was so funny it freaked me out. Riley always knew when I was sad he would lick my face and jump on me. So I bet now from heaven he is sending me kisses..This is just so hard. I go through spurts where I cry so hard I shake and other times a happy tear comes to my eye...I just hope he really knows how much he was loved and how much he is missed.

yeah the father was a corgi too. It's tough. I thought it was going to be easy but I was proved wrong. We had both the male and female. There's more to it than just having your female pop out a litter. Lexi had a litter of 8. 1 came out a stillborn and she lost the other 3 the following days. Now we're only left with 4. Our breeder already warned us about not taking it to the heart when you lose a pup or two because it's expected given that this was Lexi's first litter. We plan on getting her fixed now. We sold 3 pups and I kept one.

Unfortunately, we have the four month quarantine thing to contend with over here so they would have to jump through a lot of hoops for us. We've thought seriously about asking our Houston breeder (we lived in Houston for 15 years before coming over here and that's where we got our two boys) to do this for us but this would be our "last resort" option. Thanks for the idea, though!

Oops, I just re-read my previous post to you and my first sentence should have read, "Hi Lisa, Hawaii is great, but not so much..." Didn't mean to bad mouth Hawaii! Hee Hee
