Good for you for getting a rescue. If you don't mind where was the kennel at. I live in Northern Ca and work as a Paramedic. So I love the Epi name. My wife and I like to look around and a rescue is something we are considering.

Oh the girls of summer..... I don't really know why i choose to share by what i consider blogging, ive never done it but as i sit on my couch and look at both of them crashed out i feel i need to say somthing. I so deeply feel loved when Epi looks into my eyes with trust and devotion. Its not really fathomable SP?, I'm sure some of you feel the same way about your pups. Carly is coming along, her shyness and uneasy glances have settled into a more familiar confident stride and purpose of being. She will be a great dog even if i go nuts trying to teach a sit, lol. A little light on smarts, or she's great at playing dumb. She is however starting to pick up fetch and has definately improved her come commands. I feel ok letting her out to do her business without leashes. She seems very dedicated and business like when you ask her to potty. Door opens and she knows whats got to happen and she's on it. Such a good girl. Im glad we picked her up as a rescue dog. its a very different experiance than rearing from puppyhood, i have to remember that she's not a pup, and to teach/train in a different manner. Patience and FOOD, she is super food orientated and were working on making it a emotional reward as well as she tends to "forget" things if we don't have a treat. Some success's some not but lots of oppertunities to try. that kinda exhausts my urge to share..... ps i kinda rebel against grammar when i can so plz dont take offense to my spelling or sentence structure. lol

So we did it, got another one of the bat eared bunny butt dogs. Not a puppy but a rescue dog, a 3 yo named Carly. She is just as adorable as my Epi but is a tri and a bit older. Two things we have to work on immediately are the food stealing! and the recall abilities. But she doesn't know us from anybody and i wouldn't come running if a guy in the hotel room next door was calling my name either, lol. She is already pretty well potty trained, we will expect a few accidents until she learns our routines and thats ok. Crate trained and first night was great nary a peep out of the sweet pea. Epi seems to be adjusting well however its hard for her to figure out why we keep calling come when she's already at our feet. Ever see a bat eared bunny butt dog go crosseyed? We'll try to get a pic of that for you, poor epi, lol. A bit of jealousy on Epi's part as well but I think that will settle down in time.

There's a show coming up next weekend on Aug 2 and Aug 3 at the Dixon May Fairgrounds. Shows would be during the day. I couldn't find specific information on when the corgis show, but you might email them and ask about the time. http://www.goldengatecorgis.org/events/events.htm
There's another show coming up at the Dixon May Fairgrounds in towards the end of October, the 26th I think.
That one is being put on by the Sacramento Dog Fanciers Assoc. Both are pretty big shows and there should be lots of dogs.

Hello, no I'm not a breeder. . .I couldn't give up any of the pups and then I'd really in for it. . .LOL. . .I got Babs and Cloe from a breeder in Minnesota called Lakeway Corgis. . .I looked online and found them and I couldn't be happier with these two little girls. . . .I love my little fur babies. . . .
