Canine Good Citizen

Hello, I have never posted a blog before but here goes... Writing to brag a little about my corgi boy "Clive". We went through 2 obedience classes since I got Clive, a rescue corgi, in September 2007. This past weekend he took and passed the Canine Good Citizen test offered through the AKC. It's a wonderful feeling to have a well behaved dog and Clive and I have bonded tremendously through these classes. He does all the work, I just hold the leash! If you have not taken any obedience or trainin… Continue

Liz: Thanks for the comments on Bailey. I, too, adopted my Corgi from Pet's Second Chance. Linda did a great job of matching my family up with a dog that had the right personality for us. Your dog Clive has some beautiful coloring. I like all the white fur around the chest and neck. Hope you enjoy Clive as much as we enjoy Bailey!

What hair? Oh you mean the Corgi tumbleweeds that grown along the hall and everywhere the dogs go.. We sweep and just do not sweat the small stuff. We are looking at a Roomba.. But it is not bad... They make up for any dog hair that is around the house...

Hey Liz! I'm glad you took the adoption route :) corgis are very inteligent and trainable, practically they will do anything for food, so most tricks can be taught in 2 days. just be consistent! any questions just ask or post in the forum. we have a lot of pros here :)
