These are the "Pawz" booties, medium size. They stay on reasonably well (we lost one), fill with snow after claws puncture them, do not inhibit mobility/dexterity in snow. He was romping happily in them. Snow and sand seem to irritate his forefeet. He did not wear them on the ascent; put them on at the summit. One stayed on all the way back. See thread on "Booties that fit".

I absolutely love your photos of Al. He's such a poser. What camera do you use?
Gretzky does pretty good walking in the MN. snow.He doesn't romp through the deep snow too much. I did buy some booties this Winter - Muttlucks Hott Doggers - but they we difficult to put on and they didn't stay on very well. This year we might have to try another kind. Small rocks and pebbles seems to bother Gretzky's paws also.
My cousin lives in Redmond, WA and he took me to Snoqualmie Falls. Beautiful . Another useless bit of info: I bought my first Barbie Doll at the top of the Space Needle during the World's Fair. Now THAT dates me a bit
