I just posted about a possible meet up location for IL/IN corgis:

Hi everyone,
I checked into a possible meet up location today at my local pet spa. We have boarded Spencer there, taken classes and groomed him at this location. The people are wonderful and the facility is awesome and is located in Chicago Ridge, IL.

We can rent a room for 25.00 per hour. We would be able to bring in our own food, treats and we would have access to their fenced in outdoor area as well. They rent these rooms on Sundays only and all dogs would have to show proof of rabies, distemper, bordetella and a fecal flotation. They require this proof for the protection of your dogs as well as other's.

I did not secure a date at this time....I want to see if there are enough people interested. If you are, please contact me via my page here. We can all pitch in for the per hour rate......the more the merrier!

About My Corgi(s):: Blaze is a red brindle cardi born on Feb 14, 2007. He is part demon, but in a mostly good way.
We also adopted a lil' grey kitty from the Humane Society on July 11, 2008. His name is Sooty, and Blaze and him truly are "brothers." They alternate between kissing and killing each other.

Funny Video/ Experiment

So this video was posted on "I can has cheezburger" a couple of days ago. It's super cute and it sounds like a baby murloc from Warcraft.

And it led me to think - hmmmm. . .maybe my 2 devils would like broccoli, they already like bananas, carrots, and popcorn. So I went to the grocery store and spent a whoppin' $0.44 on some broccoli.

Now that's a video that I wish I would've taken - Blaze didn't roll on it, surprisingly - but spit it out many, many times and kept shaking hi… Continue

My Best Compliment EVER!!

So yesterday we went to the vet to get Blaze's nails trimmed. The vet (who ROCKS!!) carries my almost a year, 25 lb boy back to me. As he hands him over he says "It's so nice to see a corgi that isn't 10 or 15 lbs overweight!!" Yes, Blaze is still a young-un and very active, but still, I felt like an AWESOME parent.
