Luna must have pissed Twinkie off while they were left alone on Friday. When I got back to my mother’s house Luna’s face was covered in blood and had three distinct puncture marks.  They were crated together at my mom's house and apparently when my mom's husband let the yorkie out, they saw her and got excited that they were gonna be let out to play with her. My stepdad didn't see that they were actually fighting.... I think Luna jumped on Twinkie one too many times and Twinkie got fed up with it....

It was scary because I am currently not at my home in San Diego... We are out of town visiting with my mom in Palmdale.  Thankfully my mom's vet seems pretty alright, in fact it turns out her vet also has a corgi.  She ended up getting stitches on two of the puncture sites - one on either side of her face.  She looks like she should be the Joker's dog....

Twinkie has been slinking around the past day very guilty-like, but today finally started playing with Luna like normal.  This just teaches me to change some habits when out of town, because I can't control the environment as well as I can when in my own home....

Has anyone else come home to, well, a crime scene with blood everywhere?  How did the culprit and/or the victim act afterward?

When Kipper (our Boston) was still under a year old, we took in a Great Pyrenees that was almost full grown. She tried to kill him, so we returned her to the breeder (I had a toddler at the time so wasn't about to take any chances!), but ever since then, Kipper seems to be on the defense which sometimes makes him take the offense. I think it scarred him for life. He was fine with the Newfie, who we got as a puppy and is fine with Kadi, but not with Brodie. So far, it's always Kipper that ends up paying though. We no longer let the three of them play unsupervised together, after he got a bloody eye once and dislocated shoulder the next time. When Kipper gets rough, the corgis gang up on him and he doesn't stand a chance!

My previous corgi Buffy attacked Sparty twice at bed time and she died over 5 years ago..to this day Sparty is a growley mess at bedtime even though Misty and Izzy would never think to attack him. He runs into the bedroom growling and snarls when I pick him up and put him on the bed and then he calms down..Wish I could explain things to him! Hope they have no lasting effects!

Aw, that poor baby!!  My mom used to have a dog that hated all the other dogs in the family.  My poor lab mix had pleny of trips to the vet....unfortunatly, this dog never got along with anyone elses.  So we just gated everything and kept them apart.

Corgi hugs and wishes for a speedy recovery!!

I have had a few fights and they weren't nice and there was a bit of blood. None required stitches and weren't on the face...it feels so awful when this happens but I'm much wiser now.
