Did you get Apollo from SweetOpal in Redlands? We got bunni from there, her birthday is July 23rd. They might be cousins! I remember seeing some older chubby puppy boys when I first went to look at bunni's litter.

Hi Apollo,

How is your little sister doing? My little Mimi drives me crazy at times, but I do love her. I get very protective over her also at the dog park like a big brother dog should do. She is catching up fast thou in size. I'm about 33lbs and she just went last week to get spayed and they said she was 24lbs. She eats more than I do and is kinda bossy come dinner time. Anyway, I always enjoy looking at family's pics that have more than one corgi. Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend.

So glad to hear Daphne's stomach is doing soooo much better. . . .I've been pretty lucky with my 3. . . .I must admit, sometimes they get into things I have no idea where they found them. . . .but whenever that happens, I give them just a little bit of puppy formula I get from the Vet and wala, it seems to work (for them). . . .I think it lines their stomachs and acts like Pepto Bismo would for us. . .Of course I consulted my Vet first and she said that puppy formula is good for any ocassion but to give in moderation cause it's loaded with vitamins and minerals and "a little" is better than "more". But just like any mom, I take them in whenever something just doesn't seem right. . . .My little Cloe is a real talker and she tells me when she doesn't feel well. . .she comes up to me, looks at me with sad eyes and starts to whimper instead of her usual aaarrrrhhh!!!

Your little Daphne lools so much like our Brodie except that Brodie has a thin white blaze. I think it will mostly disappear by adulthood. So cute. How is she doing?

Hi guys..
If tomorrow Daphne test turn out to be positive of Giardia, you should just get the medication for both instead of testing both dog (giardia test can be somewhere around $30 to $50 each time and if one dog has it the other usually will get it too.
Usually the Vet might want to re-test them again after the first set of treatment (5 days) and again, but it is most likely that it might need a second set depending on how much has this protozoan affected your dogs.
Otherwise test + medication, test + medication, test again times 2 dogs will be $$$$.
And if the Vet only prescribed Flagyl (metronidazol), get : Panacur ( Safeguard Canine dewormer) on line, to give your dogs with the metronidazol.
At KVVET.com they sell Panacur canine dewormer for $10.50 (three 4 gram packets) and devide it between the 2 dogs according weight. 5 days treatment twice a day. It will get rid of Giardia and it's residual.
Giardia cause effects on the body not by invading the tissues, but simply by being in the way. It multiplies to the point where it sort of paves the lining of the intestine and blocks normal digestion (malabsorption). This causes only partially digested food to get lower in the digestive tract than it should, causing diarrhea.
At the vet Panacur can be $15 ~$20 per dog, per treatment.
Panacur Safeguard is also de-worming medicine for dog that is better than what most Vet will have you paid.
This will get rid of whipworm, hookworm, roundworm, tapeworm, and help clean up giardia.
At the Vet usually they give Pyrantel Pamoate (only for roundworm and hookworm) and charge $12 ~$30 each visit.
So if you give panacur that you get your self you don't need to purchase dewormer from the Vet.
Good Luck. I still hope that they just swallow something that cause a tummy ache... and it all will be over soon.
Best regard, Kissy's mom

Something I have to look forward too--once again. My Basil was very easy, but the girls took a little longer. I think I only had one accident with Basil, about 5 with Lizzie and I quit counting with Fergie, but it really didn't take that long. Corgis are so darn smart they seem to figure things out pretty quickly. Glad to hear the kids have become fast friends. It is so nice when they have a buddy to burn up some of their energy with. Have fun!
