My Fiancee and I are moving out to Colorado soon, do any of you guys live near Denver or Boulder?

Just saying 'Hello' and I'm glad to see this community available to share a common interest in Corgis.

That's completely understandable. Corgis sometimes aren't the best for little ones. Their herding instincts kick in and they tend to herd kids and nip at them to make them move. I hope you find a great home for your corgi and your son, when he is ...

We've taken in a couple of dogs who have had socialization issues. Our diva corgi Moira is just plain nasty to dogs outside her own pack. She's awesome otherwise, very great at obedience. She just plain doesn't like other dogs. Her previous owners...

About Me:
My partner and I are the proud parents of 3 Pemmies,a Cardi X, and a new cardi puppy, all of whom are spoiled rotten. I'm a dog trainer for PetSmart. I also volunteer my time to an animal welfare organization here to train their dogs on the basics so they are more adoptable. I continue to work with service, therapy and special needs dogs. My partner, Corgi Mom, is a groomer and all-around animal whisperer!

About My Corgi(s):
Tank, CWC X, is AKC-CGC and Delta certified and serves as my partner's service dog. (She is an OIF/Iraq War vet.) Everybody in town knows Tank. I'm no longer Cindi, I'm Tank's mom.

Dundee, PWC, is a puppy mill rescue. When we adopted him, he weighed 14 lbs, was missing fur, teeth were rotten, ears eaten off...it was sad. Now he's a healthy and happy boy!

Moira, PWC, was a rescue organization adoption. She was grossly overweight, close to 48 lbs. She's now a svelte 25 lbs. She's the boss of the whole pack!

Maddie, PWC, is little racy corgi. She's a spitfire and full of mischief; a spunky little girl with energy to spare!

Cody is a 14 y.o. BHT PWC who just entered our lives. His original owner came to PetSmart and said she didn't want him anymore. Unceremoniously. Just like that. I took him home and he fit right it. He's a good boy, very well behaved, but with the health issues that come with an elderly dog. We love him already! OVER THE BRIDGE

Harmony is a CWC who came from a wonderful breeder in the Huntsville area. She is just a sparkle princess! So sweet natured and good hearted. She joins our family on August 21st '09.

(We also have 2 Catahoula Xs - Ayla and Ranec - who keep the party going.)
I have:
Both Pembroke and Cardigan

Saying Goodbye to a Friend

Hi everyone,

Today is a sad day in our house. Our 14 1/2 year old, Cody, is being sent to the Rainbow Bridge. As you may know, we rescued him from a woman who was going to dump him. He was almost 13, shaved to the skin, filthy. He had been thrown in a back yard with no human contact apart from food thrown to him. He came to the store with an old belt around his neck and a rusty chain attached, non-ambulatory and scared. Fortunately, he was heartworm negative and his fur soon grew back to such a… Continue

Harmony Is Home!!!

Hi gang!
We have little Harmony at last. She is, officially, Allegro Good Luck Charm and we are keeping her call name as Harmony. It fits her perfectly. She was just a dream on the 7.5 hour ride home yesterday. I, of course, took pics of every "first," even her first poop! I know, crazy. I'm sure Patti will send along tons of pics, but I wanted to share this one with you.

Our Little Man

Hi gang...

We've had a time with Cody (our 14 y.o.) over the past few days. Somehow, and we haven't figured out how, he was bitten by a snake. Now Cody doesn't go outside. He's not as nimble as the other dogs. His back feet knuckle under and he's quite deliberate when he does walk, so we keep a tight watch on him. Well...I noticed the other night his eye was swelling. Then a couple of hours later, his cheek swelled. And then I found a mass in his neck. We went directly to the Animal ER and they… Continue

PetPalooza in Mobile AL

Just to let everyone know that PetPalooza is coming up on June 6th!

This is a wonderful adoption opportunity for folks looking for a new addition to the family. Also, there will be lots of vendors there, us included.

TANK'S TRENDY TRINKETS AND PET PRODUCTS will have a booth at the affair. We will be selling our all-natural flea products, doggie-related jewelry, and such. A good friend of ours makes doggie-soaps and comfort pillows and we will have her products, as well.

It's from 10-4 at The… Continue

Finnigan thanks you for the compliment. :)
He's our only dog and we still don't have room for more. Down the road when we do have room I think we'd like to get a little girl Cardi, either black and white or red brindle. My husband wants another blue but I think we should just have one of each. :)

Thanks for the info Cindi. I do believe we are going in the right direction. We have her on Science Diet and it's for weight loss and we don't give her treats. She only gets a supplement for her bones each day. I am probably just too impatient. I know it won't happen overnight. We are limited as to how much exercise she can have due to the hips. Both hips are affected. She does seem to tire more quickly then the male. Thanks for the info on the timeline too..that makes me feel much better.

Hi Cindi, how in the world did you get Moria down to 25 lbs? We have two PWC and the female is at 30 now..down from 32. She has hip dysplasia and we are trying our best to get her fit for surgery. We had planned the surgery for a month ago and decided to wait for a few more lbs. to come off. She gets plenty of exercise so we are at a loss. Any tips much appreciated. She and brother, Max are 20 months old.

HI!

Looks like you have quite the clan too! I have had several rescues and found them to all be great...I am glad that there are people like you that take them in and give them a home! Wiley is one of my rescues that I couldn't give up!
