This is a great idea! We spent lots of time in dog parks when we lived in DC, but now that we are in the suburbs of NOVA there aren't as many pups and parks. We are in Woodbridge :-)

Jessica joined Jessie's group
This group is for all corgis living in the DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia area. With enough members, hopefully we can get a few meet-ups going, trade vet recommendations, and get to know other corgis in the area (and their people). :-)

Hi guys! We moved from Dupont Circle last year to the 'burbs. Taylor loves playing with other dogs -- I'll keep an eye out for the next meet up!

Cherry Blossoms 2008

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Washington, DC and we walked all around the tidal basin today. Pictures of a happy corgi to follow.

wow, 48 pounds! just curious, how many pounds was Taylor at around 8-10 weeks. Harry was a little sturdier than his litter mates and I'm wondering whether he will turn out to be a big corgi. he had his vet checkup yesterday and was 7.5 lbs, at 10 weeks plus a few days. We were just in Woodbridge on Sunday, stopping by to play with the litte nieces : )

48 pounds! Where does he put it?? I can't imagine having a dog like that; Dex already finds a way to knock me down with his puny body.

Hey! I saw you lived close to the DC area. We just formed a group to get DC/MD/VA corgi owners together and to keep everyone updated on events in the area. Come join us!

Hi there. Yes, you are very close...I sometimes go down there to go shopping (too bad I can't take Andy shopping with me).

Do you ever go to any of the NoVa dog parks? Your little fellow is handsome...and he's getting a sister? Yay!

thank you for the photo comment,
carmen adored the hike :) she didnt want to leave
if we could have trusted her off the leash she probably would have had more fun!
where we took her was my boyfriends friends campground..
so we hope to take carmen back soon for her 1st swim :)

So far I think she's swallowed them. I haven't found any on the carpet or anything.

Jessica - my daughter will be starting at GWU in the fall and will be having serious corgi withdrawal -I'll send her your pic;s - maybe she'll see your pups at the potomac and will feel a sense of home, or you could send her some of your left over fur.....

Our corgis DO look very similar :D. I love the fox like appearance that they sometimes have. Oakley LOVES the water. She wasn't sure at first, but now she'll struggle on the leash until she can get in.

No corgis yet. I probably won't get one within... Five years, maybe. I look at petfinder just for fun and in case I can get one, I'll be prepared.
