Thanks. Sorry things didn't work out with Sadie. We'll have to work with her some more I guess.

Looks like Riley and Sadie are going to be stopping by also. Looking forward to meeting some other Corgi families! We'll be working on our manners all day today!

I'm very happy for Riley (and you)! Can you remind me what happened? I read so many stories, happy and sad, here that I can't keep them all straight!

Profile Information

Hometown:
Monroe, Michigan
About Me:
I've had at least 1 Corgi in the house going on 18 years now. I wish I had room for 10 of them!! I have 2 Pembrokes, Riley and Sadie, and a Corgi mix named Tally who is a rescue. I began my love for Corgis about 18 years ago with a Corgi mix rescue named Scooter. He met an untimely end with a speeding car but I had him long enough to learn that Corgis are pretty awesome little dogs. Since then I had Bear for almost 14 years, his sister Missy who only made it to 6, and now Riley and Sadie who are going to be 3 years old in June.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
After losing Bear, we were going to wait awhile, but not having a Corgi in the house just did not feel right. Tally had just lost her best friend of 7 years and I know she missed him. I started looking at internet classified ads of Corgis for sale, and found Riley and Sadie in Iowa. It was certainly worth the 1200 mile drive to Iowa and back to get them! Tally was NOT happy at first, but now they're all best buds, especially Sadie. For some reason, Tally favors her over Riley. Probably a girl thing! Either way, I will always have Corgis in my house. We just love them.

Riley

Just wanted everyone to know Riley is back to 100% now. His voice is a little different now, and when he barks I just wait for the glasses in the cupboards to shatter. Other than that, he's fine now. Hats off to Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital in Maumee, OH for a great job taking care of him.

Riley now home for keeps

After another day in the hospital, Riley has been released and is back home for good. It's amazing what a difference a day made. He is back to his usual Corgi self, buzzing around the house and yard like a furry little lightening bolt. Good news from the docs, no permanent damage. Should have no evidence anything ever happened within 48 hours. Thanks for all the well wishes. It's nice to know people care. It's hard at times with all the headaches and heartaches and in this case, medical expenses… Continue

Riley is back home for now

Thank you everyone for all for the kind words of care and support. Riley is doing much better tonight. He has his spark back in his eyes, and does not look like an old man anymore. We opted to bring him home tonight, rather than leave him unattended at the Vet in the event he has any overni… Continue

Dear D: Hope you realize your comment spurred me to get some photos onto the site! I still have a roll of film in the camera from Hatteras which I hope to download soon, too. While I would love photographs of the dogs during herding or agility, but someone else is going to have to take them!! Have a great week.. Nancy Geddes

I have been waiting for my daughter to show me how to load photographs from my CD into the computer and then onto My Corgi. Kate's getting ready to graduate from Virginia Tech and I am hopelessly lost with this computer stuff. I do have some marvelous black and white photography (my wonderful, old, single lens camera) from our trip to Hatteras, North Carolina of the three corgis on the beach....

That may be true, I know he had a sister who looked JUST like him, but I don't know any relatives beyond that, although he is a mixed dog too so....
he has the corgi looks, but his jack stature/weight. I kinda like it that way, especially since he has the intelligence of both!! although the stubborness of both hehe... I bet Ollie will be just as cute as Rocko when he gets full grown though! =D

Hello Riley & Sadie. . .ashamed to say I haven't checked on my e-mails for a while. . .thanks for the birthday wishes, had a GREAT day. . . .

Here's the HTML code for the Corgi cursor you asked about. . . .In MySpace, add it to the last item in ABOUT ME and then save it, when you open your page, it will show up. . . .send me your link, would love to check it out. . .besides Corgis, my next passion is Harry Potter. . .lol. . .MySpace page is dedicated to Harry. . . .

http://www.myspace.com/md_whitedove

It wouldn't let me add the code so I'll separate it for you,

< style >p {align=justify}
BODY{cursor: url(http://md-whitedove.com/corgi.ani);}
a {cursor: url(http://md-whitedove.com/corgi.ani);}

Just take out the spaces in < style >

Once, before I fenced the yard, Gwynnie ran off at night, would not recall or bark in acknowledgement. We had NO idea where she was. She'd been missing maybe 15 minutes.
Amid rising panic, a light bulb clicked in my brain! I ran into the basement, leaving the door wide open, and turned on the shop-vac. Within 18.3 seconds, she had her teeth sunk into the plastic nozzle. A record.

to be honest -- I think I'm Jeeves! I prepare his meals, draw his bath, answer his fan mail, take his phone messages (playdates), get him out of scrapes.... I think if I get another male, I'd have to go with a friend's name, like Gussie Finknottle or Pongo Twistleton, or maybe Uncle Fred, Earl of Ickenham...

Such cute pictures! Love the action shots, and sleeping on the back of the couch. I got my Bertie 4 years ago, and I wish I'd known about Corgis earlier -- a house without a Corgi isn't right at all, I agree. So it was nothing to fly from CT to AL to pick up Bertie's niece last February (I HATE to fly!). What we do for our pups!

Hi Jon! Your pups are adorable! They're so small compared to my big, fluffy whopper, hehe. I have a friend who currently lives in Perrysburg after moving there from Michigan, too!
