About Me:: I got married in 2006 to my wonderful husband Kevin, graduated from NDSU in 2007, we bought our first home in May 2008 and we brought our first puppy home in July 2008!

About My Corgi(s):: Chloe was born May 21, 2008. She's a beautiful sable PWC with a sweet, inquisitive and playful personality. Her favorite toys are her hedgehog and her squeaky bone. Chloe likes chewing on cow hooves and ice cubes. She loves going on walks, licking our feet, eating anything off of the floor and meeting new dogs at the nearby Alimagnet dog park in Burnsville, MN. She's our first dog and the first corgi in our family.

For As Big of Ears As She Has...

Our one and a half year old Chloe recently has stopped listening to our calls of "come" when she's outside doing her business. We don't have a fenced in yard and used to always put her on a chain to go, but she had been pretty good at listening for awhile so we started letting her out off her chain and just watching her from the deck. Snuggle Puppy

On June 1st my hubby and I found out some very exciting news...we found out we were expecting our first child! Our due date is February 9th 2010. Once I hit about the 2 month mark of pregnancy Chloe started being a lot more cuddly with me. She was a little bit before the pregnancy, but now she seeks me out and stays near me for much longer than she used to. Antifreeze Update

Thank you all for your prayers, comments and good thoughts! They were certainly needed. Last night was very tough for us not having our little girl home. I shed a lot of tears. Knowing you all were praying was a huge comfort though.

We just visited her at the pet hospital this evening and the vet said that she felt Chloe would fully recover as she hasn't shown any signs of poisoning all day. It was sooooo very good to hear that! However they will still do a kidney/blood test tomorrow morning to… Continue

Antifreeze

We were having a wonderful time while visiting my parents for the 4th of July. As usual we had brought our bubbly pup Chloe with us. On Saturday night my dad had let us know that he had been having issues with skunks (they live in the country) and that he had set out some antifreeze to try to poison them. We had kept Chloe on a leash or on her chain while she was outside the whole time and had her far away from the deadly, sweet drink.

They even have cds of baby sounds that you can play through out the day! Also, once the nursery is established teach the dog boundaries in the room. if you are going to gate it off do it before you bring home baby so it isn't a big change to him. Also, start walking with the stroller before baby...now you are in MN so you might want to borrow one before winter comes and start walking him with it. They also remind you about toys-dog toys look a lot like baby toys!. You can actually buy individual articles from them or subscribe it is a great journal!! Also a trainer recommended the book Living with Kids and Dogs...Without Losing Your Mind by Collen Pelar.

I am so sorry you and Chloe had to suffer through that. That had to be heartbreaking for you. How has Chloe been the last month? Is she back to normal health?
Midgee was sick last week. He has never thrown up and then all of a sudden he was puking about 8 times in 24 hrs and had bloody diarrhea. Justin took him to the vet and it was inconclusive, but based on the symptoms, he thought Midgee has Giardia. (parasites). The vet was guessing it maybe came from the pond water at Alimagnet, since several dog owners who visit the dog park have had their dogs come in with Giardia.
Midgee got a shot and a weeks worth of antibiotics and he's back to normal now.
