My dog,

the sleepy, furry creature that he is,

gets up only at the sound of the cabinet door.

Like one of Pavlov's dogs responding to the sound of a bell -

he runs,

for his food.

his kibbles. his bits.

He waits for the hand to drop his treasure down.

and later, that hand he licks,

with his warm, rough tongue...

This morning, I woke up when my daddy did....

I joined him for breakfast (donut crumbs).

Then I went back to sleep with my mommy for an hour.

She got up and fed me breakfast and took me out.

She is always so happy when I poop.

I sat with my mommy as she did her work and read the Times.

Then, I played. And got my tummy rubbed.

I love getting my tummy rubbed! It's the best!
