Question. . . Logan has this spot on his front leg that is red, sometimes seepy, starting to scab over and he's constantly licking it. He gets the same spot in the same place every 6 months or so. Other than the licking, it doesn't seem to bother ...

WOW, what gorgeous puppers! I'd love to share them with readers of my blog The Daily Corgi.

Please visit the site and let me know if you'd like to have them featured in a "Dog Of The Day" post. I pretty much do all the work, your Corgis get their 24 hours of fame :-).

Cheers,

Laurie @ The Daily Corgi

Hi Jonalyn, I just stumbled upon a group that you may want to join. It is called "Corgis of Christian Owners". I didn't start it but any Christian is welcome to join. Have a good day, Joy and Butter

Well..."what is it like living in PEI" and "is it as beautiful" are two separate things in my experience. It is probably more beautiful than the movies. The views are very pastoral and the sea is a gentle one.

One is probably never further than a 5-10 minute drive to the sea. The Island is very flat, in fact our emergency brakes on our cars are seizing up because we never have to use them. LOL

Living here, though, can be a challenge with very stormy winters. Because it is a small, flat island the sea wind whips across at high speeds. In the winter this can lead to treacherous conditions.

It is a much slower pace of life than I am used to and has taken a lot of adjusting on my part. It is great for a holiday! We have many American tourists who come to get away from a heavily populated, city life. In a sense, you feel that you are going back in time with ceiligh kitchen parties, farming fairs, etc.

The population here is only about 140,000. The largetst "city" has about 30,000. If you ever come for a vacation, the musical "Anne of Green Gables" is definitely worth seeing.

There are many beautiful places here. If you click through my pictures you'll see some of the scenery (don't have any farms, though, even though I just live down the road from one).

Also, we are inundated with Anne of Green Gables everything...as you can well imagine.

Well, hope that wasn't too long. Joy :)

Nothing beats springtime in the mountains.... except for all the mud when the snow starts to thaw! Lots of muddy girls with muddy bellies, but it's a small price to pay for the gorgeous weather!

About My Corgi(s):
Lady Lucia-(b. 2003)mom of our other two. She gave birth, conveniently on her own birthday, so she and her pups celebrate the same birthday, May 19th. Lucy is red and white, short-hair which is great for shedding. She loves to chase anything that flies and is very, very bossy. Her one fear: the vacuum cleaner

Lady Victoria- (b. 2005) first born of the five in the litter (all girls). Red and white, long-haired, sort of slow to mature and "get" things. We call her the dopey one, but her looks are the best (she's the center one in the pic). Her loyalty is fierce and her bark shrill.

Lady Jane- (b. 2005) last born in the litter. Sweet-tempered cuddler. Definitely top dog, but doesn't have to fight (anymore) to prove it. Loves to sit and watch while her sister and mom play.
